A Walk in the Sun

One day I was walking in the sun,
And thinking of a yummy bun,
Crisp and light, sugary, too,
But my reverie ended when someone shouted, “boo!”.

I looked around searching for a clue,
About the mysterious voice that had shouted, “boo!”.
Then I saw, sitting on a log,
Nothing other than a great green frog.

At first he gave me quite a scare,
Because on his head was a lock of hair.
But then he said, “how do you do?”.
And I replied, “quite fine, thank you”.

And then he asked of me a strange request,
To accompany him on a noble quest.
But first I had to give him a kiss,
And when I did it was quite bliss.

Because the frog was actually a prince,
And ever since,
Every day we ride off into the sun.
And we always share a delicious bun.

Tracy Thomas' 4th Grade class drew their favorite "Frog Princess" characters!!!

Hi this is a poem about your books! I love them so much. I read The Frog Princess when I was in fifth grade and now I'm in seventh grade and have read them over and over and cannot wait till I get my hands on number six (I'm kind of on a waiting list). Anyway hope it isn't too bad!

Hoppingly Ever After

One Sunny Day
In the Swamp
Princess Emma was found
By a toad with a frown
Who asked for a simple kiss?

The kiss was confusing and quick
For instead of a handsome prince
Down plopped a princess
Confused and tricked
And her feet were webbed
And her skin was green and slick

But who was this frog you ask?
It was Prince Eadric
That was his name
And his collection bloomed with wings
Of those he had aimed
He taught Emma how
To catch flies as well
And soon they became good friends

A witch they looked for
Far and wide
Many creatures they met
A snake, a dog, a horse, some frogs
And a bat with wings longing to glide

But the frogs soon found
They’re problem
A pesky bracelet
And with a kiss,
They returned to their human selves
And let’s just say
Happily ever after
Just wasn’t their thing so they lived
Hoppingly ever after

Keep writing! Good luck from your fans!
