Along the way, they encounter strange hybrid animals, lake monsters, lamias, different goblin breeds and a very defensive guardian. Even after discovering the kidnapper’s lair, they still don’t know precisely what happened to Bert. Has Bert made it home as the kidnappers claim, or has he been lost, never to be seen again?
